Krakow

Krakow is one of the countryʼs most ancient cities and its former capital and a real jewel in its crown. Czestochowa

The Czestochowa sanctuary is an outstanding monument of 15th century architecture, with later Renaissance and Baroque alternations. Jasna Góra Monastery, the most visited Marian sanctuary in Poland and is a site of immeasurable national importance. The monastery chapel contains the venerated 14th-century Black Madonna icon. The number of tourists arriving to the city amounts to 5 million a year.

Warsaw

Warsaw is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the Capital and largest city in Poland a modern and dynamic metropolis with everything that any European capital has to offer. When you cross the Vistula River and look at the Old Town from a distance, you are struck by how unusual the panorama of the city is – skyscrapers rise above the red roofs of the Old Town. Warsaw has suffered the worst that history could throw at it, including near destruction at the end of WWII and yet survived. As a result, itʼs a fascinating collection of neighbourhoods and landmarks. Excellent museums tell its complex story, from the joys of Chopinʼs music to the tragedy of the Jewish ghetto.

Gdansk

Gdańsk has a unique feel that sets it apart from other cities in Poland. Centuries of maritime history as a major Baltic port together with the destruction wrought by WWII have all bequeathed. A special atmosphere makes Gdańsk an increasingly popular destination. At present this maritime capital of Poland is an important cultural and academic centre.

Osvetim

Auschwitz is the biggest tourist attraction in Poland, with over a million visitors each year. The terrain and buildings of the former concentration camps are not only an historical representation of how they functioned, but as testimony to the atrocities that took place there.
