Czestochowa

The Czestochowa sanctuary is an outstanding monument of 15th century architecture, with later Renaissance and Baroque alternations. Jasna Góra Monastery, the most visited Marian sanctuary in Poland and is a site of immeasurable national importance. The monastery chapel contains the venerated 14th-century Black Madonna icon. The number of tourists arriving to the city amounts to 5 million a year.
